In December of 2019, a timecoded fullscreen workprint was leaked out online by someone who had taken part in the production of a fan funded documentary called “An Unlikely Fandom”. This workprint contains several deleted scenes and alterations of shots. This workprint contains missing music, unfinished effects, as well as the original voiceovers for the trains. Some scenes also used raw footage as CGI was not complete. The workprint was also told in flashback form by Lily, rather than the conductor. The voice used for the voiceovers was Britt Allcroft, and she had also substituted for other characters during their voiceovers. Some characters that were cut were also included in this workprint, such as P.T. Boomer, who was played by Doug Lennox and an adult version of Patch, played by Robert Tinkler.
