As part of it’s television premiere for this movie, ABC Family had ran a marathon for all of the Harry Potter movies in March of 2010. As with all of the other Harry Potter films, ABC Family had restored deleted scenes back into the film. This version adds in seven deleted and extended scenes, all of which can be seen on the DVDs and Blu-rays bonus features.

She says that all she wanted to do was bring order to Hogwarts but kept failing due to the chaos cause by the students. Then, she starts to break down and reveals that she can not take it anymore. Arguing that the ends justify the means, she threatens to kill Harry and Hermione to tie up loose ends and for the greater good. The Blu-ray has a shot of Harry and Hermione.

The ABC Family TV version contains an alternate and extended scenes as well as a deleted scene. Harry is packing his stuff. Ron walks in and says that the feast is starting soon. Not in the mood, Harry says that he won’t be coming. Ron says that he is not hungry either. Harry tells him that he’ll okay and that he should go. Ron then leaves as Harry finishes packing. He goes down the stairs with Hermione waiting at the bottom. Ron shakes his head, indicating that Harry will not be coming. Afterwards, Harry enters Dumbledore’s office. He looks around the office and at some of Dumbledore’s personal items. Thinking that Dumbledore is not there, he heads for the door. Before he can leave, Dumbledore calls Harry out and tells him to come over. The Blu-ray has Harry packing his stuff without interruptions.
