A workprint of this film has been pirated for a very long time. This workprint had missing special effects with a running timecode in the middle. The workprint also had many alternate scenes, and had changed the original storyline of who could kill Jason. The workprint’s quality is also degraded, with the audio faded out. Some of these deleted scenes appear in the unrated version of the film. Other deleted scenes also appear in the DVDs and Blu-rays in the bonus section, titled under “TV Version Alternate Scenes”.

Steven declines and the hitchhikers leave. A while later, they finish skinny dipping in the lake and hover over the fire. Deborah asks Alexis if her and Luke can use the tent for half an hour, and Alexis responds by saying she’ll sleep outside and they can use the tent for the whole night. Alexis tries to go to sleep, but has to urinate. She goes to a bush and relieves herself, and Phil’s possessed body attacks her. Meanwhile, Luke and Deborah are having sex and Deborah leaves to urinate in a bush too. She then grabs a condom and Luke and her continue. Phil’s possessed body approaches the tent, where he grabs a pole and kills Deborah before finishing off with Luke. He then walks away. Then there’s a shot of Joey B’s.
